Really? Maybe if you knew a little bit more about college football, particularly the SEC, I'd take you seriously. However, I love a lively college football debate, so I'll bite... USF is indeed a great football team, and beating Auburn was, as I've stated earlier, a helluva feat. Kudos to the Bulls. However, please don't be so ignorant as to think USF is a better team, or Jim Leavitt is a better coach because of your victory over Auburn. They are not. You can take all the nasty jabs at me, Urban Meyer, The Gators, and claim that we'd be incapable of cleaning maniac Leavitts soiled underpants all you want - BUT - until Leavitt wins a conference title (even though The Big LEAST is still a BCS stepchild ) and a national championship, or if you beat us in 2009 - you and every other USF Fan can't say **** because of our loss. Lets see, Jim Leavitt is 73-43 as head coach for the past 11 years, never won a conference title, a BCS Bowl berth, or a national title. Since joining the Big Least in 2004 USF/Leavitt have a record of as follows:
2004 4-7
2005 6-6
2006 9-4 - Winning the Pappajohns.com Bowl over East Carolina.
Meyer and the Gators since 2004:
2004 (Meyer @ Utah) 12-0 Won the Fiesta Bowl 35-7 against Pitt finished 4th nationally. Keep in mind he was 10-2 the year prior vs Leavitts 4-7.

I must say though, that the USF vs. West Virginia game was absolutely electric. The second most exciting football game I've ever attended. Should USF play UF today, no contest. UF would win hands down, but it would NOT be a cakewalk. Let's just wait and see what the BCS brings in December and January.

Actually, the Gators were pretty damn bad 20 years ago, we were kind of a schizophrenic program back then. The stats I was referring to are, what, 4 years old at the most? Calling USF a "powerhouse" is indeed a bit premature. Cracking the top 10 for the first time in history doesn't make a team a "powerhouse." They are a good team, with a good defense, not a powerhouse. Not even close. Winning the Big East, winning a BCS Bowl, getting a national title, all need to happen - more than once before that word is thrown around, imo.. As far as being "blasted out" by LSU, a distinct possibility, I know. If we play like we did last week, "blasted out" won't be an accurate enough description of what will happen to us  ..As far as the Gamecocks and SOS are concerned, I love it how Florida State fans love the 'ol ball coach now . It's comical. Unlike the Big 10 AND The ACC every Saturday in the SEC is a battle - toughest conference in the country period...That leads me to you Tommy...

Glad to see you are rational about USF. They are a good team, fast D, decent offense, well coached no doubt. Now, lets talk about those 6 National Titles O(verrated)SU has. According to Lunchmeat, stats older than 20 years aren't relevant - so basically 2002 was the last time you won a crystal football - on the backs of quintessentially what is considered by most college football junkies the worst pass interference call in the history of the game. 2006 wire to wire number 1. Beating powerhoses like Indiana, Northwestern, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Illinois, Bowling Green etc.. You came to face Florida for all the marbles, and 'ya got shellacked. You're number 4 because of all the upsets last week, not on merit. Regardless, if you do make it to #1, pray that you don't face an SEC team again - remember O(verrated)SU is 0-9 against our conference.

USF struggled with Florida Atlantic. We blew it against LSU. #1. At night in the Bayou. Regardless, we are still in the hunt. We win out,(including a victory against FShortbusU, then re-match LSU in the SEC Championship Game - what happens then? Think about it. With USC losing (TO STANFORD BTW  ) all is possible..ALL IS POSSIBLE...O(VERRATED)SU is still our whipping boy, regardless what went on in the joke of the Big 10.

I read that three hours ago and just stopped laughing. The only good that would come out of that Bowl Game would be for revenue in Florida. The Gator fan's would be louder and the USF fans would be upset. I hope the Bulls do well, I really do, but they aren't ready to compete with UF. I would like to see that game too though.

PollsThe polls are lopsided. Coaches poll is the only one making sense right now. UF played a heckuva game against LSU, and should have won. Ranks right up there in my top 5 most exciting games. The Buckeyes better not lose focus after that ho-hum win against Purdue. UF vs USF? Well, you never know, but I'd place my money on UF and root for USF. UF vs OSU? Better watch out what you say, because Tressel knows full well what happens when you lose twice to an SEC team...

Maura went with some Phi Mu sisters on a road trip to Baton Rouge. Apparently LSU has some palaces for sorority houses. She didn't actually get into the stadium, but I take it that the view from the TV at the Alpha Gamma Rho's (Alpha Grabba Hoe, as I know it) house was sufficient. Needless to say, the trip out was more enthusiastic than the trip back.
Meanwhile, Emory's Lab Rats continue their unbroken undefeated streak.

However, I'd much rather have that for a coach than the archaic, feeble fool meandering the sidelines (sans headset btw) in his Depends, with a constant look of bewilderment on his face like f$u has. Your coach, that hasn't ever beaten Urban "Cryer", keep in mind, needs to be thinking Geritol NOT FOOTBALL. See the use of caps there sport ? That's how you do it.
