Grade 2 Band Contest in ZephyrhillsWhat do you think - good for the Florida games? My thoughts are that if Charleston Police come down they'll bring their grade 4 and 5 bands as well and possibly the Citadel grade 4 band.

Why not!!!. More bands means better competition. Besides we have proven both in grade 5 and 4 that we can compete right along side of them....shades of Greenville 
Besdies who wouldn't want to come to Florida in March????

Grade 2 et alI like the idea that if we offer Grade 2, we can possibly get all the Charleston bands down.
It would be great to get out-of-state bands of any grade to Z'hills.
If we offered grade 3 would we get Atlanta? St Andrews Presby?
How much extra does each grade cost in travel, judges, and prizes?
I think that possibly the SUSPBA is holding us - and everyone else in Florida, back.
After Greenville, I'm not convinced that this supposedly terrible seasonal dichotomy is that bad after all.

I saw competition results from Hunter Mountain on Dunsire yesteday and they had an open MSR contest which looked like soem grade 2 and 3 bands participated in. That may be what we offer as it could draw some grade 3's down as well. Something to think about...

Grade 2 competition in ZepherI would definately say yes. It will attract more seasoned bands, morde players, and more people.
The higher the bands the better the reputation for the games. Im all for it
