Now that I am back from Central America. I had to go visit my dear friend Daniel Ortega........yeh right!!!!

So what were the results from the SM games for both gr 4 and 5??. How did the individuals do??. Mucho informacion would be most appreciated.

I don't think that we are entirely sure how we did.. We didnt get 1st 2nd or 3rd... and the score sheets didn't give overall placing past 3rd.. it was kinda weird.

As a band I think we did well, I think our only real problem was that there were a few glaring individual mistakes. But, considering that it was the begining of our season, and the end of theirs, and a brand new medley for us, I don't think we did horrible.

I'm going to email the recordings from our Saturday practice and of our performance at Stone Mountain. Compare the two and you'll see why we placed where we did up there.

If I'm not mistaken isn't this the best we have done at SM to date??. A few extra points here or there in drumming and piping and our placings could have possibly been in the top 5. No doubt there is always room for improvement but considering we fielded two grades from the same band and placed this close to each other in one of the premier games of the EUSPBA says we are doing something consistantly right!!!.

I'd like to single out Doug Knudsen and congratulate him on a job well done with the grade 5 drummers preparing them for this event. Doug expects and receives the best from his students because he is and we are blessed to have such a Force amongst us!!!!.

Holly, I can't seem to get to the STone Mtn. results via the EUSPBA website- how do I look up these here "Triad" reports?

Click on the Event Calendar, then click on Competition Results and then look for Band Report, open this and look for our band, both grades are listed, to veiw select the Get Report selection.

What do those asterisks mean next to some bands and individuals on the results page?

Imagine all the fun you can have beating other bands that are well below your grade. Congratualtions goes out to Flint and Ballantyne for a job well done Lads. Mr. Green

Ok, makes sense. If we take out Flint and Ballantyne, then Gr 5 sort of came in 4th - Not bad, we even edged out Middle Georgia on the draw.
Duncan McCall continues to do well at Stone Mtn. Last year 2nd- this year 5th? Good for them. Right now, they're the leading SUSPBA band, I guess. The ones to beat in Orlando? What happened to Panama City? They used to come to Stone Mtn., too.
