Thank You All......For those that were able to attend Aimee and my wedding. I know some of you had a pretty full day with the Tampa games and all, and I know making it was impossible for a few. Also, the generosity of your gifts to us as we start our life together really touched the both of us. It went far beyond what we expected. We can't thank you enough, the memories will last us a lifetime, and from what I gather you all had a good time as well , which is what we wanted. The honeymoon in Vegas was the best trip of our lives - to date ...On Saturday I hit big on a slot and cleaned up in the sports book (thank you Gators.) The last ten days of our lives have been the best we've ever experienced, largely in part to all of you making our wedding day so wonderful. We can't thank you enough...
We love you guys,
The Sierras
PS - Grothe>Tebow...Hmmm, I wonder how many of those t-shirts are now used for household chores and car washing

Didn't get a chance at "open mike toasts" - but here's a shot at what I had written on a napkin and "might" have said, "if I did it":
First of all, it was nice to go to a wedding where the guests weren't automatically expected to wear knives in their socks. If anyone was armed, at least they kept it concealed. I do hope there wasn't a sign dhu in Aimee's garter.
On the trip over from the Tampa Games, coming off of I-4 and going north up Himes, I started noticing folks on the side of the road waving me onto their lawns with signs saying $5 parking-$10 parking- and it got higher as I got closer to St. Lawrence's. And I thought, good for Gino, he's charging for parking. But I was worried because I had spent my parking money at the Fairgrounds, and barely had anything left to buy a gift at the WalMart on Dale Mabry & Columbus, since I was counting on the cash prize from the Games. But when I got past Raymond James, I realized that the Bulls were playing, and maybe at least a few of those folks were going to watch football instead of a wedding. Although most of them were disappointed today, unlike ourselves.
So I got to St. Lawrence and changed from the kilt to a suit in the car- and didn't get arrested in the process; so that was ok until Doug pointed out that I still was having a bad-sock day. Alister and Steve did a good job on piping, although I'm sure that more than one of the guests thought that maybe Gino was having to be dragged squealing to the altar. When the usher asked whether I should be seated on the bride's side or grooms's side, I guess it could have been either, but I did notice that there was a bit of a lopsided distribution, and so tried to even things up a little. I don't know if it was despite, or maybe because of, the wailing pipes, but there wasn't a dry eye when your organist played and sang Schmann's Ava Maria. Gino looked good, even without a kilt, and Amiee looked radiant in her dress. I was half expecting the service to be conducted in Latin, or at least an unfamiliar accent, but Msgr. Higgins doesn't have one, so that was fine. And everything went wonderfully. So now, Aimee and Gino are married.
So here, at the risk of stepping on Charlie's Irish toes, is a Scottish toast for Aimee and Gino:
May there always be thatch to your roof, and turf to your hearth,
Fish to your creel, and tatties to your bin,
Bairns to your ben, and beeves to your byre,
Long may your lum reek,
And may the mousie ne'er leave yer girnal with a tear in his 'eye.
May the twa o' yins fish, and farm, and feast, and family together many the lang years.
And, be the winds frae West or South, may ye always wish for ain cloak to serve for ye both, sae close may ye always be taegether.
To Aimee and Gino...
-translation on request, but you get the drift.
